Trim your wick before each burn — Snip the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. This helps your candle burn evenly and prevents excess smoke or soot.
Allow a full melt pool on the first burn — Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar (usually 2-3 hours). This prevents tunneling and ensures you get the full 50-60 hours of burn time.
Keep the wax pool clear — If any debris falls into the melted wax, gently remove it with a non-flammable tool once the candle has cooled and solidified.
